Handcrafted web design and content management

World-wise

January to April 2006 | Visit website →

Sometimes billed as 'night-classes in changing the world', the World Development Movement's World-wise project helps local communities across Scotland explore today's major global political issues and begin to take action to change the world.

justinreynolds.co.uk worked with WDM Scotland to completely redesign World-wise's website, making full use of the striking blue, yellow and black colour scheme employed in the project's existing literature, and the colourful World-wise photo library.

The new site provides information about all World-wise groups and events, and includes a reviews section to which site visitors can contribute their thoughts regarding new books, films and TV shows featuring a political dimension. The site's underlying code meets World Wide Web Consortium web standards and accessibility guidelines.

In addition, we integrated the site with Ezone Interactive's WMS content management system, giving the World-wise team control over content.

"We have had the pleasure of working with Justin on sites both large and small, and have found the high quality of his work and attention to detail second to none. Justin's understanding of CSS, browser compatibility, usability and accessibility issues is impeccable. And his ability to translate design, content and navigation requirements into clear, semantic, powerful yet simple and flexible code that works for everyone is an absolutely vital part of the success of all his websites."
